Performances June 29-30

All the fun of just about every TV-show genre you can imagine is jam-packed into this wild and fast-paced comedy!  Your audience becomes the live studio audience on a talk show, Real Talk with Fairytale Legends, where the seven dwarves tell the story of Snow White as the Fairytale Players bring it to life.  As each new dwarf takes a turn telling part of Snow White’s famous story in his or her own unique voice, the players’ re-enactment shifts to match the style and personality of that particular dwarf.  At any given moment, the story can be anything — romance, comedy, home improvement show, suspense, Western, epic poetry, mystery, cooking show, stand-up routine, or blockbuster action movie!  There’s even a “Miss Fairest of Them All” beauty pageant!  It all culminates in a mad-dash ending of fast-changing genres that sets the record straight on Snow White’s happily-ever-after.  With extremely flexible casting options, very simple staging, and optional hilarious scripted commercial breaks, this variety show spoof of the fairytale classic literally has something for everyone!

The monthly summer shows aren't just typical 'summer camps'. Each show will be a full production with all the costumes, props, sets and fanfare of our usual (spectacular!) productions. Professional instruction and direction by artistic and executive director Kim Maslo for all of the shows.

No advanced auditions required. We'll go over material from each show on our first Monday and role assignments will be emailed that evening.  Rehearsals will be Monday-Thursday from 9-12pm and will take place at Faith Lutheran Church. Performances will be the last Thursday of each session at 7:30pm on the stage at Faith. Cinderella will have a second performance on Friday, June 30 in the evening. Democracy reigns supreme at Hello Broadway, so I'm happy to add a second performance for The Snow White Variety Show if the families want it. Giving back to the community is one of our core values, so options for charity performances will be discussed after our first day of rehearsal.

The timeless, “rags to riches” fairy tale is an audience favorite in Disney’s Cinderella KIDS, an adaptation of the treasured animated film that will charm its way into your heart and remind audiences that dreams really can come true.

Poor Cinderella is endlessly mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and denied a chance to go to the royal ball. With a little help from her mice friends – and a lot of help from her Fairy Godmother – Cinderella’s dreams come true. She goes to the ball, meets the Prince and falls in love!

With many featured speaking roles, this is the perfect show for ensembles offering speaking, singing and dance opportunities for newcomers to seasoned performers alike.
